A lot has happened since our last update. The feedback we received has helped us improve the quality of our service, and smooth out the experience of using Jolicloud. We are now about to send a new batch of invitations, so if you have been waiting for yours, please bear with us, you will have a chance to install our cool new OS on your netbook very soon. We are grateful for your patience, and please continue to share your thoughts with us.
In the mean time, here are some of last week’s additions to our application directory:
Heavy
Heavy is an online community to browse, upload and share video content. Primarily targeting a male audience, Heavy offers hours of entertaining content, including sports, news parody, and college humour. Take a peek at the interface below:

MobileMe
A handy service to keep everything in sync. It automatically pushes new email, contacts, and calendar events to your iPhone, Mac, and PC.

MindMeister
A collaborative tool to visualize brainstorms, share and develop ideas. MindMeister is designed to suit the needs of individuals, businesses and educational institutions.

Almost.at
Almost.at is an exciting new service that explores the potential of citizen journalism. It allows users to follow events in real time across Twitter, Flickr, and a variety of other online services. Below is a screenshot of the service tracking updates on the events in Iran.

That’s not it of course. Jolicloud connects you to all your favorite services: Facebook, YouTube, Skype, Twitter, Spotify, Netvibes, Gmail, Flickr, or Wikipedia are all accessible in one click. In the past couple of weeks we have also added Google Chrome, Facebook Chat, Vimeo, Mixin, Factolex, Picasa, Bespin, PowerPoint Viewer and OpenOffice Impress.
There are many more cool applications to come. So check this blog regularly for updates on latest additions. We will share weekly improvements, post charts of the most popular apps and introduce you to some of the members of the growing Jolicloud community.

I am surprised at the addition of MobileMe (This is in a good way ofcourse). Being a long time user of MobileMe (aka DotMac), I’m looking forward to seeing this in action within Jolicloud.
