We thank you for using Jolicloud. Our team has been working hard to bring you updated versions of the most popular software. After Spotify, here is a new list of updates we have selected for you:
Firefox 3.5.3
As you know, we have been waiting for Firefox 3.5. Our idea was to have an automatic update of the software that would convert your old Firefox into the new version. Unfortunately, that was not available so we had to build our own package. Thanks to the Mozilla team, the latest version, Firefox 3.5.3, is available in one click and supports Flash and Google Gears. This version improves speed and rendering.
The installation is very easy. Firefox 3.5 is available as an update which will automatically replace the old version. Just update your system now. Please have a look at this previous post if you are new to Jolicloud and want to know more about how to update your Jolicloud.
More details about Firefox 3.5 here.

Skype 2.1
The latest beta version of Skype for Linux is now available on Jolicloud, with extra features and better sound and video quality.
The previous version was released more than one year ago, so the list of improvements is impressive, and includes Skype’s SILK codec, PulseAudio, SMS messages, better contact management and improvements to chat.
More details about Skype 2.1 here.
Those who have already installed Skype will be able to update it automatically as well. Those who haven’t installed it yet will find the updated application in the Jolicloud directory.

Google Chrome with Flash support
The Linux version of Chrome is still in active development. We know that some of you have already played with Chrome to enable the plugins in order to be able to browse YouTube on your netbook. We have made this easier by enabling the plugins by default. Remember that Chrome is still in alpha though.
Whether you have already installed Google Chrome on your netbook or not, you just need to go to the Jolicloud App Directory and install “Google Chrome (with Flash)” to benefit from the Flash support.

We hope you enjoy all those new updates, and look forward to your feedback!

I just launched the new FireFox 3.5 made specially for Jolicloud, the netbbok OS.
All is fine except, a new Tab navigation toolbar line in the FF menu bar, that takes all the second line of the menu.
I would prefer to hide that line(as it was with the previous 3.0 version, but I did not found the right check box in the View>Toolbars menu of FF.
Can someone check this ? Thanks in advance ;-)
