What’s new on Jolicloud this week:

Teambox

This Twitter-like project management tool facilitates collaboration and notifies team members of additions and changes to projects. Teambox lets teams create unlimited projects for free. It comes with a neat interface where every project includes forums, task lists, wiki pages, people (collaborators) and chat. Teambox will work fine for freelancers who can create a project for every client and add those clients to the projects.

Teambox

Twitalbums is another collaborative app to create multimedia albums to share and edit with selected Twitter friends.

Cacoo

One of the many diagram creation tools available, Cacoo offers an easy drag and drop interface which you can use to create flowcharts, UML diagrams, wireframes and sitemaps. You can work on several sheets at once and export diagrams as PNG. Cacoo also lets you share your diagrams and collaborate with others in real time.

Cacoo

Verb

Verb is a task management and sharing application designed for individuals and small teams, which, like other similar apps, aims to make things simple and flexible. Projects and tasks lists are easy to create, and the interface allows you to manage priorities, tags and due dates without coming in your way. You can easily share your projects with others and keep all your tasks in one place.

Verb

Noteflight

A great web alternative to composition software, Noteflight offers simple tools to create music. Click on the music sheet, and drop a note in the right spot. You can highlight dropped notes, add additional notations and change timing, or even drag and drop to correct. Noteflight is also a community which lets you see the work of others and leave comments on their scores. It also lets you publish them to Noteflight’s searchable library of music.

Noteflight

Timelines is a crowd-sourced history site which makes it fun to browse user created events connected across timelines and described using notes, videos and images.

tunesBag

A music player with social features, tunesBag offers an online audio library and lets you upload up to 1GB of your music onto the site. You can then play your tracks, share them with your friends and have them rank your tunes and playlists. tunesBag for iPhone is on its way.

tunesBag

Foodista

Foodista is a collaborative project to build the world’s largest cooking encyclopedia everyone can edit. Foodista organizes cooking information into four linked categories: Recipes, foods, coooking techniques and kitchen tools. Foodista is built both by registered community members and anonymous contributors through a wiki.

Foodista

Epicurious, the award winning food site, and cooking community Culinary Culture can also be found on the directory.

We’ve added a bunch of health information and education apps including MEDgle, Icyou, and iMedix (not to be confused with diagnostic or decision-making tools). Dailyburn will help you monitor, track and meet your fitness and nutrition goals using graphs for motivation. If you are a runner or jogger you might want to join the lively forums at Runner+.

Those who like a bit - or a lot - of online dating will be able to install Meetic, one of the largest dating sites in Europe, as well as Dating DNA and Zoosk, which both draw personal info directly from your favorite social networks to find your match.

Enjoy!

Any news on the release of the HTML5 launcher and the beta?

Sonnyjimba | January 15, 2010 at 10:46 pm

Yeah, wasn’t it supposed to be officially announced at CES on the 10th or am I missing something :S

Zak | January 16, 2010 at 12:14 am

That’s what I thought, too. CES ran from the 7th to the 10th, so there should at least be an update on when it’ll be released.

Running Jolicloud on my HP Mini 311 after paritioning my h.d. and I must say, I much prefer open source to Win XP. I just hope you change from Gnome 2.26 to 2.28 eventually.
Keep up the good work :-)

Hey joaon, if you really need it, it’s available on synaptic .. installs fine. Jolicloud hasn’t checked it out yet, but it seems to work fine. Installs to the Internet menu.

Hello.

A bank is a financial institution that accepts deposits and channels those deposits into lending activities. Banks primarily provide financial services to customers while enriching investors. Government restrictions on financial activities by bank vary over time and location. Banks are important players in financial markets and offer services such as investment funds and loans. In some countries such as Germany, banks have historically owned major stakes in industrial corporations while in other countries such as the United States banks are prohibited from owning non-financial companies. In Japan, banks are usually the nexus of a cross-share holding entity known as the keiretsu. In France, bancassurance is prevalent, as most banks offer insurance services (and now real estate services) to their clients.

The level of government regulation of the banking industry varies widely, with countries such as Iceland, having relatively light regulation of the banking sector, and countries such as China having a wide variety of regulations but no systematic process that can be followed typical of a communist system.CLICK HERE

My world is absolutely better because of Jolicloud but today is the first time that I have yet to find an app that I really need that isn’t available on Jolicloud.

Please bring FILEZILLA to Jolicloud. I tried to use phpAnywhere and it just doesn’t work so hot. I’m really not thrilled with phpAnywhere and I just don’t know why Filezilla isn’t aboard yet. PLEASE!!!

yep, filezilla (or any decent ftp client) is a required application here too..

We’re focusing on web apps for the time being.

Did you try the FireFTP add-on for Firefox?
