Our latest additions to the directory:

Ustream.tv

Ustream.tv provides a platform for lifecasting and live video streaming of events. It enables anyone with a camera and a connection to the web to broadcast to a global audience, create their own channel on Ustream.tv, or broadcast through their own site. You can also simply visit the site to watch thousands of shows ranging from music, keynotes and talk shows, major political or sport events.

Lunch

Lunch is a recommendation community designed to connect you with people who share the same interests to let you benefit from more relevant opinions. As you contribute reviews, lists, and ratings on any topic of interest, Lunch’s recommendation engine (called the “Similarity Network”) pairs you up with other members that it thinks are most similar to you, based on reviews you’ve submitted and other actions on the site.

Lunch

We’ve added a number of clever search sites: Ensembli is a topic tracking tool that progressively learns from your actions to deliver better content. Nsyght allows for a real-time social search by aggregating your friends’ activity online. News portal Eqentia aggregates business and tech info using semantic technology. Use Ranker to easily build lists on anything from films, recipes, music or people, and browse “consensus” lists reflecting the wisdom of the crowd.

Prezi

Dubbed the “coolest presentation site” by Techcrunch, Prezi is a Flash-based app that breaks away from the usual slide-by-slide approach. Instead, it allows you to create non-linear presentations where you can zoom in and out of a large visual canvas containing words, links, images, videos, etc. You just have to define your own path to run through it. The free version brands every presentation with a Prezi logo but offers 100MB storage and comes with an offline player.

Prezi

In the office category, project management tool Busy Lissy provides a centralized spot in which members of your team can interact and work together. Verbosus is a useful tool to manage LaTeX projects online and create PDF documents.

Howcast

Launched by two former Googlers, Howcast is a site filled with originally-produced how-to videos on everything from “How to legally change your name” to “How to clean skateboard bearings”. Browse through thousands of how-to videos and guides produced in-house as well as by media partners and individual contributors. The Howcast iPhone app has been downloaded over a million times.

Howcast

The Future Channels is an educational site that provides video clips to use in the classroom. Categories include Environment, Earth Science, Space Science, Sports, and more.

Radio Tuna

Radio Tuna brings music discovery to internet radio. You can dive right in by searching thousands of stations by genre, artist, and song to begin listening. Radio stations are given rankings to show you how much of a certain type of music they play. It also lets you share the stations you listen to with friends through Facebook and Twitter.

Paper Critters

Paper Critters is a lively and colourful application for creating and sharing digital paper toys. You can edit all five sides of your toy using the Toy Creator’s drag and drop tools. There are different sizes to choose from and slick movable views. You can print your toy, share it via email, IM, or drop it on your blog.

Paper Critters

Also new on the directory, Kontain is a slick looking media blogging tool to share photo, video, and audio content, with a focus on ease of use. Finally sleep tracking service Yawnlog helps identify your sleep problems by displaying your snooze data in chart-form.

Enjoy!
