Soundtrckr
Recently showcased at the San Francisco Social Media Week, Soundtrckr is a “geosocial” music app that blends elements of Internet radio, social networks, and location-based apps. The aim is to make our cities and friends active participants in the way we experience music. Users can broadcast their own radio stations, tune into the music their friends are listening to, find out where they’re listening, and geo-tag songs to real world locations. The Soundtrckr iPhone app is available for free on the app store.

Another geolocation service with a different focus, FoodSpotting is all about locating dishes instead of the restaurant that serves them, to build a rich collection of foods and where to find them. We have also added BrightKite, a popular location service to see where all your friends are, discover places in your neighborhood and meet other locals along the way.
YouScrobble and YouTube Disco are two music discovery projects that create music video playlists based on the artist you searched for, and expanding results to other videos and artists they think you may like as well.

Pressing the space bar will not only rotate the piece but also the screen around it.

Finally, NewsPond is a neat tech, games and science news site where items are sorted based on real-time popularity. The more popular, the higher up on NewsPond the story will be.
