@KroelH The Jolicloud account is stored in the Account Manager of Android. The account will be deleted each time the sdcard is unmounted (after a reboot of the device, for example). To avoid this, we force the app to stay in the local storage.
I agree with KroelH, i have low internal space on my phone (about 200MB) and i’m really low on space so moving it to SD would be better.

The android app is a great idea. However, I don’t use cloud storage for pictures. I’m an author, and I use it to move manuscripts from PC to phone so that I can write anywhere. Having this as storage only from stuff I can put on Facebook etc, does not work for me. I prefer being able to upload, as Ubuntu One lets me do. I would love to move completely over to this operating system/storage, but until Jolicloud allows upload from PC it’s a no go.

I agree to collect only the photos it’s almost useless.
You should provide much more sources as dropbox, google drive and similar …
Others oddities/bugs are follows:
1) it seems very memory consuming >> move to SD cards needed
2) the size of the pictures is huge: to browse a gallery > 100 items you need too much!
3) the search does not works

@sv See Zak’s comment but it’s under consideration to allow the move to SD.
The search works but the servers were maybe a bit overloaded due to the success of the Android launch.

Do you have a policy for sign up for under-13/children? Or have you developed an app for Joli Cloud OS which would allow parents to monitors and maintain kid’s desktop?

I’m running Joli Os on my netbook and that app is totally useless to me as I have no flicker twitter etc.
I have expected an app which would be like what I have on my netbook and let me use my web apps I have already bookmarked.
I think Joli for Android has a lack of functionality.
You should see the Pocket add-on for Firefox and take a lesson.

AnonThat’s utter crap. Have you actually used it yosrleuf? Microsoft code bloat evidence please? The Mango update is still only really onpar with Android 1.5 Nope, it’s more full featured and doesn’t look like a turd. Of course Microsoft have LOTS of advertising money to try and convince people to think otherwise. It’s clearly working very well if they manage to sell a crap product because of advertising while paying a340 per year just to play online. The launch lineup was probably on par with the PS3. Stop talking utter tripe and view products with an open mind. If you want to hate on Microsoft then I suggest you go on Boycott Novel or Ubuntuforums.
DanI read someplace (US based Android webtsie) that the 32gb model might not be destined for our shores.I really hope this proves to be incorrect as I want this phone but I also want the 32gb version.
Any word on JoliOS 1.3? I recall an interview with he CTO of Vizio the pc maker who said “don’t give up on mature markets, sometimes they’re the best place to start since everyone’s asleep.”. Everyone is asleep in the PC and netbook market, JoliOS had one of the most compelling new ideas in that space, and then seemingly gave up on it. I’m not sure this approach of of becoming a fronted of Android will bear fruit as much as potentially disrupting the pc netbook space with JoliOS.
Windows 8 is a trainwreck and Jolibook commercial failure was due to lack of manufacturer support. Now that Microsoft is on the ropes with windows 8 and Google and apple dominate mindshare, JoliOS should be there to provide an alternative for the many PC and netbook Oems that remain. Android and iOS already have places for aggregating content and it looks likegoogle like apple isalready starting to shut it third party Oems with proprietary hardware (apple as usual, and Google with Nexus)
Just my two cents, don’t give up on a great thing, JoliOS rocks
EBollocks, HTC. If Samsung can crank out 2 3.0 tablets by the same time you get one out, then your arengmut is void. Maybe if you spent less time arsing about with Sense and actually developing on the platform Google have specified is for tablets, you wouldn’t have to make silly excuses like this.

Maryou kGI did try one in a shop recently, the store menagar was trying to offload Windows Phone 7 as a firesale menagars special , and it was laughable rubbish. You couldn’t change much on the phone, no customisation, the browser was crap, the phone was sluggish, there was a severe shortage of decent apps in the store, but plenty of fart apps.Microsoft are currently about 3 years behind the ball even with the Mango update, compared to the latest HTC and Samsung offerings, and this is why nobody wants Windows Phone 7.Tell your masters at Redmond this.
