Is it possible to enable sound with dinosaur soundcard?

I know jolicloud is for netbooks and I'm not sure if anyone would be willing to help me here. Anyways, I was trying to run jolicloud from a Pentium III Desktop with ISA sound card and of course I had no sound upon booting into jolicloud. Everything else works perfectly I tried > sudo modprobe snd-sb16 and sudo modprobe snd-sbawe to see if I could use the Sound Blaster modules to run my sound got this > FATAL: Module snd_sb16 not found. I tried to edit alsa-base.conf adding this line options snd-sb16 isapnp=0 port=0x220 irq=5 dma8=1 dma16=5 mpu_port=0x330 but that didn't do it. lspci Does not list the card and I'm running out of ideas Anything else I could try?

Im trying to install this but it keeps failing on dictionaries-commen. When checked in synaptics its says it has a broken package and states this, E: Tar checksum failed, archive corrupted E: Prior errors apply to /var/cache/apt/archives/dictionaries-common_1.0.0ubuntu1_all.deb debconf: apt-extracttemplates failed: Bad file descriptor

Jolicloud now up and running on my ASUS 701 - yeah!! When the final release of Robby comes out will I have to re-install or will the updater take care of it? Sorry if this has been dealt with already, guess I should have searched first.

In Ubuntu, you can connect to a NAS drive like maxtor shared storage by using Places > Connect to server > Windows share. I can't find an equivalent in jolicloud. Any ideas? Or will I need to do this via terminal?

Sound card being app choosi instead of app friendly

having random audio issues with acer aspire one 53h. i have sound with songbird, movie player, and the login sound, but thats it. youtube, hulu, (web embedded or app), vlc, incredibox, and anyother sound made by web flash apps aren't heard.

Where is the boot.ini file after Express Jolicloud install?

I am just testing out Jolicloud and so far really like it. Even my fiance, who I have yet to find a Linux distro that she likes, really liked how easy it was to pickup and figure out how to do everything. Anyway to the question: I used the express install to install on top of XP since I just wanted to play around with it. It is booting into Jolicloud by default and I have a VNC setup from work to my home computer so I can mess around with Jolicloud when I have some free time. Well I want to modify the boot.ini file so that I can restart the computer and it boot into XP by default so I can do some things on that OS. I know how to modify the boot.ini file to accomplish that, but where do I find the boot.ini file so I can modify it? I can see all my other partitions except the XP OS partition which contains that boot.ini file. Is there a way to get to that file after using the express install of Jolicloud? Thanks in advance for any help!
iPod / media player?

It would be great if Jolicloud could add better support for iPods. There's loads of media players for Linux that can sync to iPod but the app directory only includes Songbird. The problem is that some of the add ons don't work in this older version of Songbird - in particular Quicktime playback, which is needed to play protected tracks from iTunes. Has anyone managed to get their iPod synced with a media player in Jolicloud, including tracks purchased from iTunes? Thanks
[Asus Eee PC 1000HE] Why can't I connect to Wifi automatically after boot?

Every time I log in, I need to click the wireless connection icon at the upper right hand corner to connect in my WIFI connection at home. I've changed the setting to "Connect Automatically" but it does not work.
